The motorcade continues down Fifth Avenue to its destination, the action interspersed with more flashbacks providing additional background on the characters and action.

When it's all over, the following two scenes wrap up the screenplay.

FADE TO WHITE; HOLD TO:

168.      EXT:    THE PURPLE HAZE

SILENCE. SLOW FADE UP TO PURPLE HAZE. Beautiful, full-flowering phantasmagoria. And a WHISPERED COUNT-UP.

UNA (VO)

— 1 — 2 — 3 — 4 — 5 — 6 — 7 — 8 — 9 — 10... (etc.)

UNA'S VOICE (OFF) is joined by others, male and female, young and old. WHISPER becomes CHANT, gains volume and momentum. Other languages, known and unknown, join COUNT-UP. Numbers become indistinguishable, but mounting meaning is clear. COUNT-UP is deafening as PURPLE HAZE is pierced by luminous writing on the wall: "FREE WILL AND TESTAMENT" COUNT-UP metamorphoses into SOUND of NOISY NIGHTTIME CITY STREET. HONKING. SHOUTING. LAUGHTER.

HOLD TO:

169.      EXT:    NIGHTTIME
THE MARQUEE OF A MOTION PICTURE THEATRE — A CITY, USA

"FREE WILL AND TESTAMENT" appears on MARQUEE of MOTION PICTURE THEATRE. TRAFFIC and PEOPLE pass by (OFF). It is a FOGGY night.

PULL BACK — Under MARQUEE, mass of SPECTATORS stream out, having seen the movie. Among them are PROTAGONISTS of "FREE WILL & TESTAMENT": UNA, JASON, AMILCAR, MAJOR RON, ALDOUS, BIANCA, MAGDALENA, UNCLE, THE PEREGRINE, other COMBATANTS, SEAN, MORELL, LEO, BERNARD, DR. SCHMUCK, FOREIGN REPORTER, YOUNG BLACK MAN, and many other characters, in no particular order, featured and not, "principals" and "extras," from drama we have just witnessed. Many new, unknown, and anonymous persons exit THEATRE with them. No words "The End" appear.

FINAL CREDITS ROLL, as more and more PEOPLE exit THEATRE. And are still exiting as CREDITS END, and drama finishes but is not over.

For the STREET.
And exit the THEATRE —
For the STREET.

The story is not over, the drama is ever to be done, on — and off — the screen.
